(Minneapolis, Minnesota, January 31, 2007) — Touchstone Mental Health announces the
development in 2007 of a second intentional community in South Minneapolis for persons with
serious and persistent mental illness. At its creation in early 2006, the first community in the Seward
neighborhood of Minneapolis represented a new concept in supportive housing for consumers of
mental health services. Touchstone’s program focuses not on buying bricks and mortar but rather on
helping individuals create a community that supports them in staying out of the hospital and leading
rich and fulfilled lives.
