From the Executive Director – Touchstone Message on COVID-19

Touchstone Mental Health considers the health and safety of the people we serve and our employees our priority. Considering current world and national events regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to provide an update on Touchstone’s response to these health concerns.

Several weeks ago, we activated a group of Touchstone leaders who respond to and mitigate health risks across the organization. With that in mind, we are meeting weekly and taking trusted guidance from the CDC, Minnesota Department of Health, and health care advisers, to process updates and plan strategies for our agency.

Touchstone has taken a series of steps to maintain a level of hygiene and cleanliness for the health of the people we serve and our employees, including:

  • Increased cleaning and sanitizing procedures for all major touchpoints in our programs and offices.
  • Continued education on correct hand washing and respiratory hygiene practices for everyone served or employed at our agency.
  • Encourage families and friends to use Skype or phone calls, rather than visiting our residential and apartment residents.
  • Encourage all employees who are not feeling well to stay home.

We believe people will take personal responsibility to prevent the spread of the virus through good hygiene practices and staying at home as needed.

We will continue to provide quality services and support the people we serve during this challenging time.
