Fitness Center

Many people who come to Touchstone for help with recovery from mental illness also have chronic health conditions like diabetes, chronic pain, hypertension or side effects from medications like weight gain or insomnia. These health conditions not only make life more difficult, they can often dramatically shorten the lives of people with mental illness.

When Guy came to Touchstone his path to recovery from mental illness included a holistic approach. Guy learned what he could eat to support his brain health, sleep better and improve chronic health conditions. He also learned about mindfulness, fitness and the importance of connecting with others. Through the generous support of our donors, clients like Guy can access the Fitness Center to address their overall health and wellness in addition to their mental illness.
