Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS)
Jaquin’s parents didn’t know what to do. Jaquin was 27 years old and spent most days in bed depressed. His room was a mess, he stopped eating, lost weight, isolated from others, and started using alcohol—all symptoms of depression. He tried to commit suicide and when he was found, he was taken admitted to the hospital where he was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and Alcohol Use Disorder. He was referred to Touchstone by his hospital social worker to get help.
When residents like Jaquin are admitted to Touchstone’s Intensive Residential Treatment (IRTS) they are at the most emotionally, physically and mentally difficult time in their lives. Touchstone’s Residential Treatment staff help people become stable through individual treatment plans that include a wide array of treatment groups, from evidenced-based services including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Illness Management and Recovery (IMR) as well as holistic practices such as acupuncture.
