Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia is a condition that affects a person’s ability to think clearly, understand information, make decisions, and distinguish between reality and their thoughts (psychosis). People with schizophrenia have difficulty with relationships and maintaining their daily activities.
People with a schizoaffective disorder have symptoms of schizophrenia in combination with unstable mood. Approximately 3.5 million Americans are diagnosed with schizophrenia and it is one of the leading causes of disability.
