Sweating for a Good Cause
Dr. Matt Wiest, owner of The Center of Movement in Golden Valley, created the “Summer MVMT Series” with his mission to connect the Twin Cities fitness community by experiencing various studios. Dr. Matt expressed his passion for not only fitness, but also mental health. He wanted to donate all the funds raised from the series to a mental health nonprofit organization.
Dr. Matt appreciates our person-centered approach so he chose Touchstone as the recipient of the donations. “I was drawn to Touchstone because there’s genuine care for our community and serving people”.
“My purpose in life is to make an impact in mental wellness. My formal education is in chiropractic, but I thought this would be a great opportunity to also make an impact on mental health”, said Dr. Matt.
The Summer MVMT Series raised over $6,000 for Touchstone’s Basic Needs Fund, which will meet everyday essential needs like clothing, shoes, hygiene items, medication and more for our clients. Thank you to The Center of Movement, all of the participating fitness studios, and attendees for supporting mental health and Touchstone!
